:O

My only complaints would have to be:
1) It's a little cheesy. :)
2) The character animation, while smooth, was sometimes not realistic.

Now on to the good stuff: EVERYTHING ELSE! I loved how you used particle engines here and there, and though it was a little overused, I loved the way you used layers of animated masks(I think) to get that water ripple effect. :D And finally, the idea behind it is pretty Greenpeace and unoriginal, but the way you got that point across was really interesting... an elf in a lab. That's originality...

Volo responds:

Greenpeace??? the last thing I thought about was Greenpeace!

XD

Woot to you guys... never has Shape tweening been used so excellantly!

What a concept!

This was fucking AMAZING! The score should be MUCH higher, but of course the fighting wasn't realistic enough to catch the imaginations of the stupider NG members. But yeah, definately work on the actual fighting paert and you'd have a winner! It would be nice to see a higher frame rate, but this was a long movie so I don't hold it against you...

Man, if you got your fight scenes really nice, this would kick SO much more ass. As it is, 5 for you. :D

Dwarfer-Stu responds:

Thanks :)
Yeah, I had quite a low frame rate for this, 12fps. But about 4 minutes of animation mostly frame-by-frame, any higher framerate and I would've died from exhaustion! Thanks for the review

:O What a bomb animation style!

Make a longer movie in this style, I love how you make use of the Free Transform tool. :)

teek-83 responds:

;D

:O That Nazi Pirate sure got wasted.

As a bastard, I sympathize with the main character, Billy... his battle mech clearly shows his trying to make up for his evidently crappy home life. Without love and affection, all of OUR children may be attacked by dinosaurs with hats, too... this movie is a wake-up call for North-American civilization.

jk man. Awesome movie! XD

Haha! You pulled an all-nighter?!

...what a complete WASTE of a night! :P

Sorry man(men?), this was crap. Random funniness is funny, but this was just a load of not funny randomness.

Schweet!

I hate wannabe animators who make a model in Swift, rotate the camera, and then think they're so cool. It was great to finally have someone animate! I also liked how you switched to fbf for some REALLY nice action.

...now away from the sweet animation and on to your "storyline". In your case, it would have been better to not try and be serious like you did. The voice acting was crap, the music was crap, and the "story" was crap. If you're not gifted with the ability to write a script and act it out, DON'T RUIN YOUR FIGHT SCENES BY DOING SO! Find some way of getting it all done without voices, and for the love of God don't pull a Matrix 2 & 3 and have your characters be all über-cool, "I am not afraid of death", no-facial-expression super-guys. It looks retarded.

All in all, put your awesome action skills to better use than this. Good luck with your next Flash!

:O So many clichés!

The cheesy music didn't really help either. :P But I know you were making a serious movie, and it was very good. I especially like how you set the mood... your drawing skills weren't overly impressive, but the way you set up each scene and used colours to fit with what was happening was a REALLY nice change from the usual Newgrounds fare.

Another thing I really liked was the use of the camera-- as opposed to a stationary view, the whole scene zoomed in on various characters etc. for added effect.

So practise your drawing and maybe use a smaller brush size for the outlines, and work on the animation as well-- I'll be looking for more of your stuff! :D

AligatorHead responds:

yeah i should start using pencil.

XD Love Poninjas.

It's a little short, but then so are a lot of good movies. I love Poninjas though, and this seemed almost EXACTLY like one of the movies... it's almost as if it was stolen. :/ I hope not. Good job!

Shinkdog responds:

haha its not stolen dont worry. thanks though

And he danced!

I'm going to have to ask for some of these backgrounds for the game-- and seeing as I've already got zombies in there, I now need to add a power for Jesus to raise 'em up. :) The movie was AWESOME(as usual)-- hope if you don't make another one you'll at least make some new series of equal or greater ownage XD
